This operation allows you to execute a WorkView filter. You can find more information on this operation in the Outbound Operations section of the Enterprise Integration Server documentation (known as the Execute Filter operation, in the WorkView category).

Note the following considerations for the Execute filter action:

  • Web services using this operation are not supported for use with importing and exporting configurations.

  • Permission to access a WorkView filter depends on the User Group permissions for the object using the filter. For example, a user can access a WorkView filter being used in a filter bar if the user has permissions to access that filter bar. For the Execute filter operation in Web Services Publishing, if the OnBase user account being used to call the web service has permission to access an object that uses a WorkView filter, that user can also access the filter itself, even if the web service's security level typically restricts that user's access to the filter.

To create this operation:

  1. Select the WorkView application that contains the filter you want to execute from the WorkView Application drop-down list.
  2. Select the WorkView class that contains the filter you want to execute from the WorkView Class drop-down list.
  3. Click the WorkView filter you want to be executed when this operation is executed.
  4. Click Next. The Attribute details dialog box is displayed.
  5. Select one or more attributes to be included in the web operation's responses.
    Tip:

You can select and deselect the Include/Exclude all option to select or deselect all available attributes.

  6. All available attributes will automatically have an XML-compatible name generated. You can change this name if desired by selecting an attribute and then modifying the Edit XML Compatible Name field and clicking Set.
The value entered in this field will be truncated to 120 characters when saved to the database.
  7. Click Finish. The newly created web operation is now available in the Integration Services tab of OnBase Studio.
