Note:

This feature requires the Context Search Framework license when using legacy licensing. You must also have full text catalogs configured in OnBase Studio. See the WorkView documentation for more information.

As an administrator, you can configure default full text catalogs for applications. This is configured per application. When a default full text catalog is configured, the default catalog is automatically set as the catalog to search when the application bar is selected in the Contextual Pane. If no default full text catalog is specified, the first full text catalog that a user has rights to is the default catalog; this catalog may or may not be directly related to the application bar the user has selected. Configuring a default full text catalog for an application ensures the default catalog searched is related to the application selected.

To configure a default full text catalog for an application:

  1. Click the Edit global configuration settings button under the Contextual Pane.

The global configuration dialog box is displayed

  2. Click on the Application Settings section.
  3. Select the application for which you would like to configure a default catalog.
  4. Select the catalog you want to set as the Default catalog from the drop-down list.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Restart IIS.
