You can configure WorkView Integration for Microsoft Outlook to allow users to configure their own filters. This is configured at the application level. To allow user-defined filters:

  1. Select the application in which you want to allow user-defined filters.
  2. In the Properties pane, select a filter bar from the User-defined Filter Bar drop-down list.
    Note:

If a filter bar is assigned as the User-defined Filter Bar that had filter bar items configured, previously configured filter bar items will not be available in OnBase Studio or in the client. Likewise, if a filter bar is configured as the User-defined Filter Bar and is no longer configured as the applications User-defined Filter Bar, the previously configured user-defined filters will not be available to users in the client and will not be displayed in the OnBase Studio. If you revert your changes for the User-defined Filter Bar assignment for one of these described scenarios, previous configurations will be restored for the filter bar.

    Note:

Only one user-defined filter bar can be configured for an application.

    Note:

Only attributes that are assigned to a user's view are available to the user when creating user-defined filters.
