Some class views may allow you to associate multiple objects of another class to the displayed object. When this is possible, Add existing, Delete, Remove from List, and Create Object buttons may be displayed, based on your configuration.

If these buttons are not displayed, the object view is not configured for multiple object associations.

To associate multiple objects to another object:

  1. Click Add existing.
  2. A filter results list is displayed.
    Note:

By default, only objects that are not already associated with the parent object are listed. To view all objects in the list, select the Display all objects check box.

  3. Select the check box next to the object(s) that you want to associate with the currently opened object.
  4. Click Add Checked Objects to List.

The selected objects will display in the currently opened object's embedded filter.

To remove the association between objects:

  5. Select the appropriate associated object. You can select multiple objects to delete from the list.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. The Are you sure you want to remove the selected Object(s) from the list? message is displayed. Click Yes to remove the object from the list.
    Note:

When in an associated embedded filter, this action does not delete the object; it simply removes it from the list. Otherwise, the object will be deleted.

To remove an object from the list of objects:

  8. Select the appropriate associated object. You can select multiple objects to delete from the list.
  9. Click Remove from List.
  10. A message asking Are you sure you want to remove the selected Object(s) from the list? is displayed. Click Yes to remove the item from the list. Click No to cancel the removal.
    Note:

This action does not delete the object; it simply removes it from the list.
