The following shortcuts are used within embedded filters:

Shortcut

Description

Up, Down, Left, Right

Use these keys to move between fields in Edit mode.

Tab

Navigates to next field.

Shift + Tab

Navigates to previous field.

F2

If you want to edit existing text without deleting it entirely, press F2 on the keyboard after placing your cursor in the field. This will allow you to edit existing text.

Del

Deletes value in field

Esc

Reverts changes to last value in field. If multiple changes were made to a row, pressing Esc twice will revert the changes made to the entire row that was last modified.

Enter

Accepts value and navigate to next row

Shift + Enter

Accepts value and navigate to previous row

Ctrl + Down

When a button is available in a cell, this key accesses the button.

Ctrl + I

Adds new row.

Ctrl + R

Adds new row.

Ctrl + Enter

In alphanumeric and text data type fields, this shortcut will go to the next line.

In data set, boolean, and date data type fields, this shortcut accepts the entered value and stays in the current field.

Home

Navigates to first field in row.

End

Navigates to last field in row.

Page Up

Navigates to the first object of the next group of objects to be displayed in the filter in ascending order.

Page Down

Navigates to the first object that is after the last currently displayed object in the filter.

Alt + double mouse click

When the Open Objects in the Same Window user preference is selected, this shortcut will allow you to open an object from an embedded filter in a new window.

The following are shortcuts when using the date selection control within an embedded filter:

Ctrl + Page Up

Previous year.

Ctrl + Page Down

Next year.

Page Up

Previous month.

Page Down

Next month.

Ctrl + Left

Previous day.

Ctrl + Right

Next day.

Ctrl + Home

Navigates to the current date.

Enter

Accepts selected date.

Ctrl + End

Closes and erases date entered.

Escape

Closes date selection control without selecting a value.
