The Change Field Visibility action allows you to show or hide a field.
The hidden field does not leave an empty space within the form. The form is re-organized to adjust to the hidden/shown field.
When the action is added, the following is added to the Designer pane:
You can select fields from the drop-down menu. When the menu is opened, a search field is displayed, where you can look up fields by name. Multiple fields can be selected at the same time.
