If you want documents to automatically be attached to objects based on OnBase folders, you must associate a folder with a class. If a document matches the keytype map criteria associated with a folder, the document will automatically be available in the Folders tab or dialog box.
This functionality is only available in the Unity Viewer.
Before configuring this option, you must have Keyword Type Maps configured. See Creating Keyword Type Maps for more information.
Appropriate file cabinets and folder types need to be configured in the Configuration module before configuring this option as well. The following folder structure should be in place:
-
The folder type selected for WorkView must be a folder that is either user creatable or is set up for auto-foldering. If a folder is not accessible from a client interface, it will not be available in the WorkView interface.
-
The folder type should be associated with the Keyword Type(s) used in the configuration of the Keytype Mapping within WorkView that will be used for the folder type association.
-
If the Document Type(s) associated with the folder type already contain existing documents, run the Auto-Folder Existing Documents option for the Document Type to ensure the folders are created and can be used by WorkView. If folders are not created for existing documents, the folders for these documents will not be available in WorkView.
-
The folder type should not be configured with the Workflow Usage option.
-
The folder type must be assigned to a file cabinet, either directly or through a parent folder.
See the System Administration documentation for information on file cabinets and folder types.
