You can copy an existing filter to create a new filter. To copy a filter:

  1. Right-click on the filter you want to make a copy of and select Duplicate Filter. A copy of the filter is displayed.
  2. Enter the name of the new filter and press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Configure the filter as appropriate.

If a class has been extended, the Duplicate Filter option is not available. Instead, a Copy Filter to... menu option is available. Upon selecting Copy Filter to..., the filter's class, individual extension classes, and, if multiple extension classes have been extended from the filter's class, a option to copy the filter to all extension classes of the filter's class are available for selection. The following is an example of a Copy Filter to... menu.

In the example, the first option is the class to which the filter belongs. The second and third options are the classes that have been extended from the class to which the filter belongs. The last option is available because more than one extension class exists for the class to which the filter belongs and this option will copy the filter to all extended classes for the filter's class.
