Actions allow you to add buttons to execute commands to the class's screen and allows you to assign access to the action based on the view the user is viewing and the user group the user belongs to.

To create action command buttons:

  1. You can initiate the creation of an action in two ways:
    • Click the Action button from the WorkView ribbon in the New group with the appropriate class selected in the Repositories pane.

    • Right click on the appropriate class within the Repositories pane and select New | Action.

  2. The Create Action wizard is displayed.
  3. Click New Action.
  4. Enter a Name for the action.
  5. Enter a Description for the action.
  6. Click Next.
  7. If you want to assign rights for the action to all user groups assigned to the class, click Add All Assigned to Class.
  8. If you want to assign specific user groups to the action, select a user group from the User Groups drop-down list and click Add.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Finish. The action will be displayed in the Actions folder in the Repository pane.

You can define the order of the actions by clicking and dragging actions to the appropriate sequence within the Actions folder.
