You can configure custom headers for a class. Custom headers allow you evaluate data on the object to determine what header should be displayed when the object is opened.

  1. In the Repositories pane, right-click on a class and select Configure Object Headers. T he Configure Header for Class '<classname>' dialog box is displayed.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter a Name for the header.
  4. Specify the Rule. See Rules Options for more information.
  5. Specify a Color for the Background by clicking the ellipsis button and selecting a color.
  6. Select a Field Layout field.
  7. Select the number of columns you want this text to span from the Column Span field.
  8. Select the number of rows you want this text to span from the Row Span field.
  9. Enter the text you want to include in the header's field you have selected in the Content field. Click the drop-down list to access macros, attributes, and a separator that can be used in the content of the header for dynamic content.
    Note:

    You can configure one or more fields in the Layout Field section.

    You can configure multiple headers for a class.

  10. Click OK when you have configured all your custom headers.
