The first step in configuring WorkView is to create an application. To create an application:

  1. In the WorkView ribbon, within the New ribbon group, click Application. The Create Application wizard is displayed.
  2. Enter a Name for the application.
    Note:

If the application will be used in the WorkView Client, you cannot use the following characters in its name: <, >, *, %, &, :, \, ?. These characters cause issues when used as WorkView Client URL.

The following characters can be used, but are not supported for deep linking: , and /.

  3. Click Next.
  4. Select a user group that you want to assign to the application from the drop-down list and click Add. Repeat this step for every user group you want to add. If you want to grant rights to all user groups, you can place a check mark in the header of the left column.
  5. If you want the application to always be on when they launch their client, select the Always On option next to the user group.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Finish. The application will display in the WorkView tab of the Repositories pane.
