Classes are the next tier below the main application level. Classes are used to group related attributes together and define objects. You can view all of the configured classes for an application by either right-clicking on the application and select Design Class Layout, or expanding Classes in the tree under the appropriate application in the left pane.

In Design mode, this screen shows all configured classes for the selected application, as well as a list of Attributes and the Data Type for each Attribute within each class. The attribute id is next to each attribute, and the attribute length is displayed next to the data type, if applicable.

A standard class will be displayed similarly to the following:

An extension class will be displayed similarly to the following:

An extension class extending an external class will be displayed similarly to the following:

An association class will be displayed similarly to the following:

An external class will be displayed similarly to the following:

If an arrow is present between two classes, a configured relationship exists. The arrow starts at the class containing the relationship attribute. The arrow points to a class containing the attribute the relationship is dependent upon.

To move a class in the display, left-click on the header of the class and drag it to the appropriate location on the screen.

In the Repositories pane, each class type has a icon that represents the type of class the configured class is.
