You can purge history from the database. This is a way to remove unwanted and unnecessary information from the database.

To purge WorkView history:

  1. In OnBase Studio, select the WorkView tab.
  2. Click Purge History in the Maintenance ribbon group. The Purge History dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the datasource that contains the class for which you would like to purge the history from.
  4. Select the Application the class belongs to from the drop-down list.
  5. Select the Class from which you want to purge the history from the drop-down list.
  6. Select the date before which you would like to purge the history in the Purge History Before field. You can click the calendar icon to select a date.
  7. Click OK. Upon successful purge, a message stating The database has been purged of [x] objects out of [y] objects successfully. is displayed, where x means the actual number of purged objects, and y means the actual number of objects in the database available for purging with the set parameters.
