To purge objects selectively from the database:

  1. From the WorkView ribbon, click Purge Objects Selectively within the Maintenance group. The Purge Deleted Objects Selectively dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select the Application from which you want to purge objects.
  3. Select the Class from which you want to purge objects.
  4. Select the Filter that will return the inactive and deleted objects you want to purge. If any inactive or deleted objects match the criteria specified in the selected filter, the objects will be displayed in the Preview window. If no objects are found, a message stating Preview not available is displayed in the Preview window.
  5. You can select one or many of the objects in the Preview window to delete. Click to select one object or hold down Shift and click on several objects. If you want to delete all of the objects displayed, click Select All Objects.
  6. Once the objects you want to purge are selected, click Purge Selected Objects.
    Note:

    If the purging is cancelled during execution, objects purged up to the moment of cancellation are removed from the database and purging of the remaining objects is stopped.
