You can auto size the width of columns in a filter results list so that the columns are the width of the longest values returned by the filter. To auto size the columns, do one of the following things:

Click Auto Size Column Widths in the Filter ribbon.

Right-click on the filter results and select Filter Settings | Auto Size Column Widths.
