If you want to allow user to add to a list of objects in the embedded filter's results, select the Add To List check box. An Add to List button will be available within the embedded filter in the client This option can only be selected if Constrain to Parent is selected for the filter.
The following options area available from the Add To List section, once enabled:

Specifies the filter used to associate an object using the Add to List button. The filters that are available in this drop-down list are filters related to the current view's class. |

Allow Detach Relationship |
When this option is selected, it will allow users to clear relationships with objects in the filter. The Remove from List button will be available in the client within the filter. |
