Views can be made up of several controls which define how a view looks and what data is contained on the view. These controls are accessed in the Toolbox tab.

They include:

  • Label: This control allows you to add static text to a view.

  • Header Section: The header section control will insert a container with two tables within it. The first table is a header row and the second table contains cells to add content, such as attributes. You can configure the number of rows and columns you want to include for the content table. In addition, you can add an image to the header and configure the section to be collapsible and if you want it to be collapsed by default.

  • Container: This control can be used to group controls together. By default, a container has the following controls: Label, Separator, and Panel.

  • Panel: This control groups other controls together. You can place panels within other containers.

  • Image: This control inserts an image into the view.

    Note:

Images formatted as TIF are not supported in the WorkView Designer.

  • Table: This control is a table containing cells in which other controls can be placed for proper formatting and spacing.

  • Line Break: This control creates a blank line in between controls.

  • Separator: This control is a line used to separate other layout controls.

  • Hyperlink: This control inserts a hyperlink into the view.

  • Folders: This control type allows you to place a static folder or a configured dynamic folder within a view.

  • List Box: This control type allows you to place filter results in a list box format. This control does not have the toolbar capabilities that a standard filter control includes.

    Note:

  • IFrame: This control allows you to place an embedded IFrame within the view.

  • Snippet: This control is a long label or text box. Images and HTML can be used in this control, but not scripting or IFrames can be used within the control

  • Card: This control is a rectangular control that allows you format other controls in a group with a corresponding label.

  • Attributes: This control type allows you to add fields on the view that will contain attribute values. When configured, a Document attribute is also available that has different properties than a standard attribute. This attribute control allows you to add a related document to the view. Attributes configured for the view's class are available under the Attributes group.

  • Filters: This control type allows you to place filters within a view. Filters are grouped by the application they are configured within under the Filters group.

Note:

User-defined filters are not available for selection. Filters that required user entry are not available for selection.
