An ad hoc user task is a task that the user can select from the Tasks bar to perform on an as-needed basis. This is different from regular user work in that the user can select the action initiated. Ad hoc tasks are initiated by double-clicking the representative icon in the Tasks bar.
Note:
Tasks can be executed on multiple documents at the same time. To select consecutive documents in the Document window, click the first document, hold the Shift key and click the last document. To select non-consecutive documents in the Document window, hold the Ctrl key while clicking the documents. The tasks you execute apply to the selected documents.
