The Object Display Option determines how objects will display when executing this action off of a WorkView object.
Selecting Display in New Window will open an object in a new window.
Selecting Show in Current Window will open an object within the current object's window.
Selecting Respect User Option will adhere to the Open Objects in the Same Window setting determined by the user in the client.
