Download Protocol Option |
Description |
---|---|
In most cases the TIP is used to process import index files residing locally on a computer hard drive, or on a local area network (LAN). Occasionally, the file to be processed cannot be transferred to the computer and the TIP format must identify the appropriate download protocol so that it can transfer the file. |
|
No Download |
Select this option if you do not download the files you process (i.e., the files are accessible on your computer, LAN or WAN). |
FTP Download |
FTP Download is generically available to all processing protocols, but is only used for a few specific processes. This option is disabled in TIP. |
Socket Download |
Select this option if you wish to download files onto your PC using a TCP/IP socket connection. Enter the socket number in the Socket Number field. Files are first copied to a hard drive and then processed. |
Socket Direct |
This option is only active for Check Image Processing. |
Tape Drive |
This option is disabled in TIP. |
