After you have determined that the batch is valid, it can be committed. Administrative Processing Privileges(User Groups and Rights configuration) are required in order to commit documents. To commit a batch:

  1. Click on the Awaiting Commit queue.
  2. Select the batch to commit.
  3. Right-click and select Commit Selected.

When a batch is committed, it moves to the Committed queue. This queue maintains all batches that are in OnBase. Once a batch is committed, it can no longer be purged. Documents can be deleted by selecting them from a hit list and selecting Delete Selected.

Batches in the Awaiting Commit queue must be committed or purged. Failure to do so may compromise the system integrity. When a commit takes place, the data files are copied to other disk group copies. If the commit does not occur, the data may only exist in a single location. Prior to upgrading, all batches must be committed.
