There are several levels of security required for TIP. The first is network security. The TIP workstation must be logged into the network as a user that has Write access to the storage location. If the documents in a batch will be retrieved, Read access is necessary. In order to purge a batch, Delete rights are required.

Additionally, the processing workstation will need Read / Write / Delete access to the temporary parse path and the temporary report path for the process to complete successfully.

OnBase security has several levels, depending on the function of the user. To execute and commit a TIP process, users must belong to a user group that has the TIP option selected.

To accomplish this:

  1. Select Users | User Groups / Rights in the Configuration module.
  2. Click Product Rights.
  3. Select XML Tagged Import under the Register Processing Products section.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To purge a batch, the user must belong to a group that additional has Administrative Processing Privileges for the TIP. To accomplish this:
    1. Select Users | User Groups / Rights in the Configuration module.
    2. Click Product Rights.
    3. Select XML Tagged Import under the Administrative Processing Privileges section.
    4. Click Save.
  6. To view documents in a batch, users will need Retrieve / View access to the specific document types in the process. To accomplish this:
    1. Select Users User Groups / Rights in the Configuration module.
    2. Click Document Types.
    3. Assign the appropriate document types to the user.
    4. Click Close.
    5. Click Privileges.
    6. Select Retrieve / View under the Documents section.
    7. Click Save & Close.
