The Annotate feature can be used to draw on the document in the Viewer. This allows you to mark up sections in a document that need to be called out.

To annotate documents:

  1. Tap the Annotate button.
The annotation tools are displayed on the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select the annotation tool you want:
    • Pencil tool.

    • Highlighter tool.

  3. For either annotation tool, select from the following configuration options:
    • Width: Tap the width size you want for the annotation.

    • Opacity: Tap and slide the slider to determine the transparency of the annotation.

    • Color: Tap a color option for the annotation.

  4. When you have the options set, tap the document to close the configuration options.
  5. Draw on the document using your finger.
    Note:

To move to other pages in the document, swipe up or down with two fingers.

  6. Remove annotations using one of the following options:
    • Undo/Redo: Use these buttons to undo or redo annotations drawn on the document in the current session. You can only undo annotations made since the document was opened.

    • Eraser: Use this tool to remove annotations from documents. Any annotations can be erased by this tool, including those made before the document was opened.

  7. Tap the Annotate button to close the annotation options.

Once you have added an annotation to a document, the document is displayed in the Documents tab with an icon indicating that there are annotations on the document.

If the document has also had notes or bookmarks added to it, an icon is displayed indicating that more than one feature has been added to the document.
