Integration for Epic Chart Search monitors all indexed documents within specified Document Type Groups for content changes (such as burning a deficiency note using Signature Deficiencies for Epic). If a content change on a document is detected, that document is added to a specified Workflow life cycle.

Users with the Document Configuration Configuration Right can map Document Type Groups to Workflow life cycles for Integration for Epic Chart Search. A maximum of 50 mappings can be created.

To create the mappings required for Integration for Epic Chart Search, follow these steps:

CAUTION: Ensure that no other users are mapping Document Type Groups to life cycles before you begin. If multiple users attempt to configure Document Type Group to life cycle mappings at the same time, unexpected behavior can occur.
  1. Open the OnBase Configuration module.
  2. Click Medical | Content Changes Notification Mapping.
    The Content Changes Notification Mapping dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the Healthcare Corrections Document Type Group from the left drop-down list.
    Note: This drop-down list only displays Document Type Groups your user account has access to.
  4. Select the ECS – Chart Search Notification Workflow Life Cycle from the right drop-down list.
  5. Click Add.
    The Document Type Group is mapped to the Workflow life cycle and the mapping is added to the list.
  6. Select the Medical Records – Encounter Document Type Group from the left drop-down list. The ECS – Chart Search Notification Workflow life cycle is preselected from the right drop-down list and cannot be modified.
  7. Click Add.
    The Document Type Group is mapped to the Workflow life cycle and the mapping is added to the list.
  8. Select the Medical Records – Patient Document Type Group from the left drop-down list. The ECS – Chart Search Notification Workflow life cycle is preselected from the right drop-down list and cannot be modified.
  9. Click Add.
    The Document Type Group is mapped to the Workflow life cycle and the mapping is added to the list.
  10. Click Save.
