You can expand the categories pane from its collapsed state to always have the categories pane visible when viewing patient records. For more information on collapsing the categories pane, see Collapsing the Categories Pane.
To expand the categories pane:

From the collapsed categories pane on the left side of the patient overview layout, select Expand Categories. When the categories pane is in a collapsed state, the Expand Categories option is displayed as an arrow at the bottom of the pane.
The categories pane is expanded and visible while viewing patient records.
