You can create Unified Types using the Hyland Healthcare Configuration Utility. A Unified Type can be mapped to multiple Content Types across multiple repositories. Each Content Type can be mapped to only one Unified Type.
To create a Unified Type:

Log on to the Hyland Healthcare Configuration Utility.
The Home page is displayed.

Click Unified Type Mapping from the Home page or
application menu.
The Unified Type configuration page is displayed.

Click Add New Unified Type at the bottom of the Unified Types pane.
- In the Name field, enter a display name for the Unified Type.

To filter available Content Types by repository, select one or more repositories from the Filter Repository drop-down list.
The Available Content Types list is filtered to show Content Types from the selected repositories. Each Content Type name is preceded by the repository it belongs to.

To filter available Content Types by name, enter part of the name of the Content Type you want to map in the Search Content Type field.
Note:
Content Types mapped to other Unified Types are hidden by default. Select the Show Mapped Content Types option to display previously mapped Content Types in the Available Content Types list. For more information, see Remapping a Content Type to Another Unified Type.

Select the Content Types to map to the Unified Type.
- To map a Content Type, select it from the Available Content Types list.
- To map all Content Types currently shown in the Available Content Types list, click Select All.
- To unmap a Content Type, select it from the Selected Content Types list.
Note:If the browser window is narrow, then available and selected Content Types are displayed in a single list. A check mark is displayed next to each Content Type selected for the Unified Type. To view only Content Types currently selected for the Unified Type, click Show Selected. To view all available Content Types, click Show All.
- Click Save in the lower-right corner of the page.

Click Continue when prompted.
A confirmation message is displayed.
