Full-Text Search allows users to perform powerful searches on collections of full-text indexed documents using input words or phrases, or by using Simple Query Syntax to construct search strings with operators such as AND and OR.

Full-text searches can also be combined with OnBase Keyword or date range searches to filter the documents returned.

Note:

Full-Text Search is supported only with OnBase. If a patient record has content stored in multiple repositories, then a full-text search can retrieve documents from the OnBase repository only. Documents and studies residing in other repositories are filtered from the patient record.

Full-text search can be enabled for use in Clinician Window. The following requirements must first be met prior to enabling full-text search:

  • Full-Text Search must be fully licensed on the OnBase system.

  • Users must have the Full-Text Search privilege to conduct full-text searches in Hyland Clinician Window.

  • Full-Text Search must be properly installed and configured. See the OnBase Full-Text Search documentation for more information on the installation and configuration of the Full-Text Search product.

To enable Full-Text Search:
