In order to use the OnBase user catalog with the Hyland IdP server you must install and configure the Hyland SCIM server. SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) is an open standard that allows for the automation of user provisioning. The Hyland SCIM server hosts the required SCIM layer for authentication in OnBase using the Hyland IdP server.
The Hyland SCIM server is only required for OnBase environments. It does not need to be installed or configured for other environments.
The Hyland SCIM server is installed as part of the Hyland API Server. For complete instructions on installing the API Server and configuring the Hyland SCIM server, see the API Server module reference guide.
After installing and configuring the Hyland API Server, the Hyland IdP server must be configured for initial use, which includes configuring it to use the Hyland SCIM server.
To configure the Hyland IdP server for initial use, see Initializing the Hyland IdP Server.
