Once you have downloaded and imported API collection and environment files in Postman, you can modify the Admin API Environment Variables for the Hyland Administration client. For information downloading and importing API collection, see Generating an Access Token.

Note: It is recommended that only developers with good API concept use the token generation feature.

An API consumer, such as a developer, uses the Client Credential flow to generate a token to authorize the API call.

To modify Admin API Environment Variables:

  1. Launch Postman and navigate to Environments | Admin API Environment Variables.
Note: You must have downloaded and imported the API collection and environment files into Postman.
  2. Populate the Type, Initial value, and Current value fields in Admin API Environment Variable.
  3. Populate the values of environment variables based on the following conditions:

      • ServiceClientId
      • ServiceClientSecret
      • IdPBaseURI
