Providers are configured for each tenant and define the types of authentication protocols that can be used by that tenant. For example, one provider can be configured to require users to input credentials every time they want to access the system, while another provider can be configured to automatically log in using externally federated credentials.
If multiple providers are configured for the same tenant, the user logging in may have to select which provider to use for authentication when they enter their credentials.
The following table lists the provider types and their respective mandatory fields when using the Hyland Identity Provider (IdP) server:
Provider Type | Mandatory Fields |
---|---|
OIDC Exchange | Issuer |
CAS | Identity Provider |
WS-Federation (ADFS) | Metadata |
