Unable to Load or Update the Tenant Tab on the Administration Configuration Page
Issue: The Tenant tab on the Administration Configuration page is unable to load, or information entered on the page is not retained when the page is saved and reloaded.
Solution: This error can be caused by the encryption being configured improperly. Specifically, the HOIS requires a certificate to be configured or a ProtectorDescriptorRule in active directory environments. The process or user running the application for environments that choose to use the certificate thumbprint must ensure the user has access to the certificate.
To address this issue, one of the following actions needs to be performed, depending on the operating system:
- For Windows users:
- Open Certificate Manager.
- Right-click the thumbprint certificate.
- Select .
- Ensure the appPool Identity has read permissions for the private key of the certificate.
- For Linux users, ensure the thumbprint certificate is in the certificate store for the user running the process for HOIS. The HASU tool can be used to upload the thumbprint certificate to the certificate store in Linux environments.
