We recommend that you install Fax Agent on a remote, Windows server. When installed remotely, Fax Agent communicates with the Perceptive Content Server computer through TCP/IP. Insert the Brooktrout TR1034 board into an available PCI or PCIe slot on the Windows server, depending on the board.
Consult the installation guide included with your fax board for detailed instructions. Ignore any attempts by Windows to find a driver for your new hardware. If your server uses Windows Server 2003, disable the fax board in the Device Manager, reboot the server computer, and then re-enable the fax board.
