You must configure a scanner in CaptureNow to connect it to Perceptive Content. To configure a scanner, complete the following steps.

Make sure the scanner is connected to your computer and that it is turned on. Before you configure a device with a Kofax driver, you must install Kofax on your system and configure KSM (32-bit) in Windows Control Panel. Before you configure a device with a TWAIN driver, you must install the TWAIN driver for the scanner.
  1. On the Perceptive Content toolbar, click Settings > Options.
  2. In the Perceptive Content Options dialog box, in the left pane, click Capture.
  3. On the General tab, under Scanning Profiles, click Manage Device List.
  4. In the Device Manager dialog box, click Create.
  5. In the Driver Type dialog box, in the Driver list, select the driver that runs the scanning device.
    Note: CaptureNow does not support WIA and Kofax TWAIN drivers.
  6. Click Next and follow the steps through the wizard.
  7. Click Finish and click OK.
Create a scanning profile for the configured device.
