To define the file location and image processing options for a file source client-based capture profile, complete the following steps.
The user logged in to the local computer must
have the Write permission for the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Perceptive Content\etc
directory.
- On the Perceptive Content toolbar, click Capture > Manage Capture Profiles.
- In the Capture Profiles dialog box, select the capture profile and click Modify.

In the <Capture Profile Name> dialog
box, on the File tab, under Options,
do one of the following actions
Situation Steps To capture files from the same folder used during the last session - Select Remember the previous location.
To specify a directory from which to capture files - Select Use a default directory.
- For Directory, type or browse to a directory from which to capture files.
- To capture one or more files in a directory without prompting the user, select the Automatically capture files check box and, in the Files box, type a file name, file extension, or an expression that uses the * wildcard character.
- To automatically capture files in subdirectories of the parent directory, select the Include subdirectories check box.
When capturing without prompting the user, you separate each file name and file extension with a comma or semicolon. Summary.doc captures only this file, *.txt, *.jpg captures all files with either of these extensions, .txt, .jpg, .pdf captures all files with these extensions, and *.* captures all files in the folder. - To empty the folder each time the user imports files, select the Remove files after capture check box.

To apply image processing filters to imported files, under Image
Processing, select the Enable Image Processing check
box and do the following substeps:
- Click Modify.
- In the Image Processing Configuration dialog box, select one or more filters in the Available Filters list and click Add.
- Click OK.
- In the <Capture Profile Name> dialog box, click OK.
