You use an external interface capture profile with external interfaces such as iScript or Integration Server. To create an external interface capture profile, complete the following steps.
- In Management Console, in the left pane, under Select Department, select a department from the list.
- Click Capture.
- In the right pane, on the Capture Profile tab, click .
- If the Capture Profile Content Type page appears, select Document, and then click Next.

On the
Capture Profile Information page, perform the
following substeps.
- Type a name and optional description.
- Verify that the Profile is active check box is selected.
- Click Next.

In the
Capture Profile Options page, complete the
following substeps.
- In the Application plan list, select the External application plan that you want to associate with this capture profile.
- Optional. In the Workflow process list, select the workflow process to which you want to route the new items.
- If you selected a workflow process, in the Workflow queue list, select the workflow queue to which you want to route the new items.
- Optional. To submit items to Recognition Agent for bar code scanning, select the Submit to Content Server Perceptive Content check box.
- Optional. To add items to version control, select the Submit to version control check box.
- Click Next.

In the
Capture Profile Verification page, review your
capture profile configuration settings and perform one of the following
actions.
- To modify a configuration setting, click Back and make any needed changes.
- To keep the configuration settings, click Finish.
