Using sequences, you can define your own sequence number and use it as a document property. To modify or rename a sequence, complete the following steps.
- On the Perceptive Content toolbar, click .
- In the Capture Profiles dialog box, select the capture profile you want, and then click Modify.
- Click the Document Keys tab.
- Double-click the appropriate key.

In the Key Definition dialog box,
do the following actions:
- From the Type list, select Sequence Number.
- From the Value list, select Edit Sequence.
- In the Sequence Number dialog box, click Modify.

In the New Sequence dialog box,
do the following actions:
- In the box, type a name for your sequence.
- From the Base list, select the numeral system to use for your sequence.
- In the Width box, type the number of digits to use in your sequence.
- In the Increment box, type the amount to add to your sequence.
- In the Prefix box, type a static text string to precede the sequence.
- In the Suffix box, type a static text string to follow the sequence.
- Click OK.
