When you apply a picklist to a record category type, record folder type, or record type, users can assign any access control markings contained in the picklist to instances of that type. To apply a picklist to a type, complete the following steps.

  1. In Perceptive ContentManagement Console, in the left pane, under Select Department, select a department from the list.
  2. In the left pane, expand Records.

    1. In the left pane, click Record Category Types.
    2. In the Record Category Types pane, select the record category type in the list you want to assign a picklist to and click Modify.
    3. In the Modify Record Category Type dialog box, click the Picklists tab.
    4. Select the target picklist from the Available Picklists list and click the Add button.
    5. Click OK.
    Apply a picklist to a record folder type
    1. In the left pane, click Record Folder Types.
    2. In the Record Folder Types pane, select the record folder type in the list you want to assign a picklist to and click Modify.
    3. In the Modify Record Folder Type dialog box, click the Picklists tab.
    4. Select the target picklist from the Available Picklists list and click the Add button.
    5. Click OK.

    1. In the left pane, click Record Types.
    2. In the Record Types pane, select the record type in the list you want to assign a picklist to and click Modify.
    3. In the Modify Record Type dialog box, click the Picklists tab.
    4. Select the target picklist from the Available Picklists list and click the Add button.
    5. Click OK.
