To connect to your SQL Server, complete the following steps.
- Log in to the SQL Server system with a user ID that has local administrator rights, click the Start button, point to Programs, point to your Microsoft SQL Server version, and then click SQL Server Management Studio.
- In the Connect to Server dialog box, enter the information in the Server Type, Server Name, and Authentication fields. Click Connect.

- Determine the database collation for a Unicode environment.
- Create the INOW database.
- Set up SQL Server to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security.
