The following recommendations can increase performance after you have Perceptive Content running in production. In addition, as your user base getslarger, you can make the following changesto maximize the performance of yoursystem.

n your anti-virus application, disable on-access scanning for the \inserver directory, including all subdirectories, and your database. When you use on-access scanning, your virus scanner continually examines Perceptive Content Server memory and file system, which can decrease performance. If you move any directory outside of \inserver, make sure you disable on-access scanning in the new location. You can verify the location of Perceptive Content directories in the \inserver\etc\inow.ini file.

Verify that the num.workers setting in the inserver.ini file is set to reflect an accurate number of users. The suggested ratio is to set one thread for every ten users.
