To obtain the hardware information for the Perceptive Content Server, you must be the admin user on Windows. When you update from ImageNow 6.x, you need to acquire updated licenses, but do not need to purchase new licenses unless you purchase additional products.
- Start Perceptive Content Server. If you have an active-active setup, you must start all instances of Perceptive Content Server on all nodes.

To generate a system fingerprint using Perceptive Content
Management Console, complete the following steps.
- Click Start and select All Programs > Perceptive Content > Perceptive Content Management Console.
- In the Login page, click License Manager.
- In the License Management dialog box, select Save system fingerprint and click OK.
- In the Save As dialog box, enter a name for the file and then navigate to the location where you want to save the report and then click Save.

To generate a system fingerprint using INTool, complete
the following steps:
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Run dialog box, type cmd and then click OK.
- In the Command Prompt window, change to the [drive:]\inserver\bin64 directory.
- Enter the following command at the prompt. intool --cmd license-sysfp
- The file is saved with an SYSFP extension in the [drive:]\inserver\bin64 directory.
- Contact your Enterprise Software representative for instructions on where to send the system fingerprint file to obtain your license. The system fingerprint file has an SYSFP extension.
- When you receive the license files, store the license files in a temporary directory on the Perceptive Content Server computer.
