When you use a Single mode capture profile to import one or more electronic files, Perceptive Content creates a single document. To import a file using a Single mode capture profile, complete the following steps.
This procedure requires a capture profile set
to File source and Single mode.

On the Perceptive Content toolbar,
click the arrow next to the Capture button
and select a capture profile set to the File source and Single mode.
If the capture profile you select or the application plan in use has any values that require user input, the Proposed Keys dialog box appears.

Optional. In the Proposed Keys dialog
box, perform the following substeps.
- To store the new document in the folder or drawer path you define, under Location, click the Create Location button, and then in the Create Location dialog box, enter the location values you want, and click OK.
- To apply property values, in the Proposed Keys dialog box, under Document Keys, select the values you want, including any Notes you want to add, and click Capture.
- In the Import Files dialog box, select the file you want to import and click Open.
- Perform one of the following actions.
- Optional. Under Notes, add additional text to describe the new document.

On the Scan toolbar, click one
of the following options:
- Save Scanned Image. Saves the imported file as a document.
- Rescan Page. Replaces the file currently displayed with a new file that you select to import.
- Discard Scanned Image. Removes the file currently displayed.
After you click Save Scanned Image, ImageNow Viewer - Single Scan automatically closes.
