To scan a page into Folder Viewer, which creates a new document with a shortcut to the document in the associated folder, complete the following steps.

This procedure requires a capture profile set to the scanner source and the single mode that is configured to store a document in a folder.
  1. Load the page you want to scan into the document feeder of your scanner.
  2. Open the folder that you want to contain a shortcut to the new document.
  3. On the Perceptive Content toolbar, click the arrow next to the Capture button and select a capture profile set to Scanner source and Single mode.
If the capture profile you select or the application plan in use has any values that require user input, the Proposed Keys dialog box appears.
  4. Optional. In the Proposed Keys dialog box, perform the following substeps:
    1. To store the new document in the folder or drawer path you define, under Location, click Create Location, and then in the Create Location dialog box, enter the location values you want, and click OK.
    2. To apply property values, in the Proposed Keys dialog box, under Document Keys, select the values you want, including any notes you want to add, and click Capture.
  5. In the New Document dialog box, assign document properties using one of the following methods:
  6. Optional. Under Notes, add additional text that describes the new document.
  7. Verify the quality of the scanned file and, on the Scan toolbar, click one of the following options:
    • Save Scanned Image. This saves the scanned file as a document and assigns the property values that you specified.
    • Rescan Page. This replaces the file currently displayed file with a new file that you scan.

After you save the scanned image, ImageNow Viewer closes automatically.
