ImageNow Printer prints an electronic file from an application, such as Microsoft Excel, into a document. To print an electronic file into ImageNow Printer to create a document, complete the following steps.

  1. Open the file you want to print into ImageNow Printer.
  2. In the application that created the file, click File > Print.
  3. Set the printer name to ImageNow Printer.
  4. Click Printer Properties.
  5. In the ImageNow Printer Document Properties dialog box, do any of the following actions.
    Situation Steps
    To create a color document
    1. In the inowprint.ini file, in the [Save] section, change the Color reduction setting from BW to none.
    2. On the Paper/Quality tab, select Color.
    Note: Color printing is not enabled by default. Until the Color reduction setting is changed to none, all printing will be in black and white.
    To create a landscape document
    • On the Layout tab, in the Orientation section, select Landscape.
    To create a portrait document
    • On the Layout tab, in the Orientation section, select Portrait.
  6. In the Print dialog box, click OK.
  7. In the Print dialog box, in the Capture Profile list, select a capture profile.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Link and save your document.
    The steps needed to link and save your document can vary and are based on the settings configured in the selected capture profile.
