To manually assign the location and property values to a document, complete the following steps.

  1. In ImageNow Viewer, in the Properties pane, under Document Keys, or in ImageNow Explorer, in the New Document dialog box, under Location, complete one of the following actions, depending on the situation.
    Situation Steps
    To store a document at the drawer level
    1. In the Drawer list, select a drawer.
    2. Define values for Field1 through Field5. You must define at least one of these property fields.
    To store a document in a folder
    1. Click Drawer > Path.
    2. Refer to Select a location to complete the steps in the Select Location dialog box.
    3. After closing the Select Location dialog box, type a unique name for your document in the Name field.
    4. Define values for Field1 through Field5.
  2. In the Type list, select a document type.
  3. Under Custom Properties, if custom properties display for the assigned document type, perform the following substeps:
    1. Optional. To use the default values your administrator defined for the custom properties, select the Use default values check box.
    2. Select or type a value for the other custom properties where needed.
  4. Click OK.
