In addition to the general information about a record that applies to every page of the record, you can optionally provide page-level metadata about each record page when declaring a document as a record. To add page-level metadata to a record, complete the following steps.

The document you are declaring must have pages associated to it; otherwise, the Pages tab does not display.
Adding page-level metadata to a record is optional in the Declare as a Record dialog box. If you click Declare prior to entering page-level metadata, you can still add the appropriate metadata at any time.
  1. In the Declare as a Record dialog box, click the Pages tab.
  2. In the Select a page box, select a page from the list for which you want to add metadata.
  3. In the Set file type list, select the file type for the page.
    The available file types display in the drop-down list, which include, Digital Photograph, PDF, Scanned, and Web. The information you enter differs for each file type.
  4. For the selected file type, provide the necessary page information using one of the following methods.
    File type Steps
    Digital Photograph
    1. In the Caption field, type a caption (short description) of the image.
    2. Optional. In the Photographer field, type the full name and organization of the photographer credited with the photograph, if available.
    3. Optional. In the Copyright field, type the copyright, which is a restriction on the use of the image due to a copyright or other intellectual property right.
    4. Optional. In the Bit depth field, type the bit depth of the transferred file.
    5. Optional. In the Image width field, type the width, in pixels, of the image.
    6. Optional. In the Image height field, type the height, in pixels, of the image.
    7. Optional. In the Image source field, type the original medium used to capture the image.
    8. Optional. In the Compression format field, click the drop-down arrow and select the file compression used for the image, if applicable.
    9. Optional. In the ICC/ICM profile field, select the custom or generic color profiles, if available, for the digital camera or scanner used to capture the image.
    10. Optional. In the EXIF information field, type the information embedded in the header of the image file, which certain digital cameras provide.
    PDF
    1. In the PDF producing application field, type the application used to render the PDF.
    2. In the PDF producing application version field, type the version of the application used to render the PDF.
    3. In the PDF version field, click the drop-down arrow and select the version of the PDF record.
    4. Optional. In the Creating application field, type the application used to create the initial record content.
    5. Optional. In the PDF Security setting field, type the setting for the additional security added during PDF creation.
    Scanned
    1. In the Format field, click the drop-down arrow and select the format of the scanned image.
    2. In the Resolution field, type the image resolution relative to the image encoding standard.
    3. Optional. In the Bit depth field, type the bit depth relative to the image encoding standard.
    Web
    1. In the File name field, type the name of the web file.
    2. In the Web platform field, type the software applications and, if available, the intended browser application and versions.
    3. In the Website name field, type the title of the website from the landing page.
    4. In the Website URL field, type the URL of the transferred content’s landing page.
    5. In the Capture method field, type the name and description of the application used to capture the file.
    6. In the Capture date field, click the drop-down arrow and select the date the record was captured.
    7. In the Contact field, type the point of contact information for the person responsible for capturing the web record.
    8. Optional. In the Content management system field, type the application used to manage the file.
    Note: You cannot add or edit email metadata.
