To search for a document using a quick selection or using multiple conditions, complete the following steps.
- In the Views pane, select the view you want to use as a basis for your search.

In the right pane, do one of the following actions:
Situation Steps Perform a quick search - Click the Quick Search tab.
- In the property list, select the property to use.
- In the operator list, select an operator to use in the comparison.
- In the value box, select or type a value.
Perform an advanced search - On the Search tab, click the Add button.
- In the Add Condition dialog box, in the Constrain by list, click the search constraint to use.
- In the Type list, select the type of search to perform.
- In the Field list, select the item field to use in the search.
- In the Operator list, select an operator to use when comparing the field and the value.
- If you are performing a LearnMode search in Perceptive Content, in the Plan list, select an application plan.
- In the Value box, select or type a value for the search.
- Click OK.
Note: If you selected Prompted in the Type list, the Message box appears instead of the Value list. Enter instructions indicating what value to enter. - Optional. To add another search condition, repeat the advanced search steps.
- Click the Go button.
